Pirelli 'not hitting the mark'

Having fallen short of their target of having a minimum of two pit stops in every race this year, Pirelli is confident they will hit the mark next season. Pirelli came in for some heavy criticism in 2013 for producing tyres that degrade too fast, and the Italian manufacturer decided to make changes, meaning the current generation of rubber is a lot more durable. With tyres lasting longer these days, drivers opt for one-stop strategies during races and some believe it is one of the reasons why people are losing interest in Formula 1.
