Alonso expecting ‘completely different' McLaren in second half of the year

Hungarian Grand Prix – Fernando Alonso says that he believes steps being taken by his team will lead to far greater competitiveness in the second half of the year. Hungary marks the mid point of the season before the summer break kicks in, and offers the team hope of a slightly more competitive weekend due to its tight and twisty nature. With horsepower being a major weakness for McLaren, the lack of high speed straights gives the team a ‘reasonable opportunity to showcase our steady progress'.
