Alonso is F1's highest paid driver

Figures from a study by Business Book GP and republished by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reveal that Fernando Alonso's return to McLaren has seen him remain the top earner in F1 despite Sebastian Vettel's move to Ferrari. Last season's figures from Business Book GP had Alonso, Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen earning the same amount, but Alonso now is reported to earn €35 million while Vettel takes home €28m. Raikkonen has dropped to fourth on the list with €18m, €7m less than world champion Lewis Hamilton who is the third highest paid driver.
