Hungaroring Qualifying: Hamilton thumps Rosberg and the rest

Lewis Hamilton gave a champion performance during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, claiming pole position ahead of his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg, and with it notching up his 47th career pole, while making it nine out of the ten top spot starts so far this season. Hamilton's best lap of 1:22.020 was a second up on Rosberg's time and three quarters of a second up on next best Sebastian Vettel in the Ferrari. Last year's winner Daniel Ricciardo was fourth in the Red Bull, with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen fifth. Williams were below par on a track that apparently does not suit their car, and as a result Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa had to settle for sixth and eight respectively....
