Singapore's Marina Bay circuit undergoes alterations
The Marina Bay street circuit in Singapore will undergo some tweaks ahead of this year's Singapore Grand Prix.The changes being made are aimed at increasing opportunities for overtaking, and affect the section of track between Turns 11 & 13. The changes ride on the back of a number of key enhancements to Singapore’s Civic District and tie-in with the city-state’s 50th anniversary of independence. The FIA & the race promoters have approved modifications to the alignment of the track between the turns as a result of changes being made at Esplanade Park & Empress Place to form a new arts, culture & lifestyle area. The right-hand Turn 11 will remain, but will be re-aligned to sit tighter...
