Button and wife gassed during burglary in France
Jenson Button and his wife Jessica may have been gassed with an anaesthetic while they were burgled in France, according to the McLaren Honda driver's spokesman. The couple were staying with friends in a rented villa in Saint-Tropez over the Formula 1 summer break and it is believed two men stole jewellery, including Jessica's engagement ring, while they were sleeping. During the robbery it is suspected the former F1 World Champion and his wife were gassed through the air conditioning in the villa before Monday's break-in.
