Perez: Current clutches aren't designed for new start procedures

Belgian Grand Prix – The new ‘unaided start procedure' rules come in to effect for the Belgian GP and Sergio Perez believes it's good for Formula One but that new clutches are needed. From Sunday, drivers must start the Belgian Grand Prix unaided, with no radio contact from the team on the warm up lap where they would normally set and find their clutch bite point. It means that drivers will have to rely on their feel for the car a lot more and also depend on a small amount of technical knowledge regarding what conditions have on clutch performance during a start procedure.
