Romain Grosjean: “I felt very emotional”

Romain Grosjean took his first podium finish since the 2013 United States Grand Prix on Sunday when he drove a strong race to finish third in the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. It had been a strong couple of days for the Frenchman, who qualified fourth on Saturday, although that would equate to a ninth place start due to a gearbox change penalty. However, he was always in contention for a good result on Sunday, and inherited third on the penultimate lap when the rear tyre on Sebastian Vettel’s Ferrari failed down the Kemmel Straight.
