Hamilton doubles up as Mercedes dominate Friday practice at Monza

Championship leader Lewis Hamilton topped the times on Friday in practice for this weekend’s 2015 F1 Italian Grand Prix, as Mercedes maintained its dominance. Hamilton, who had been quickest in the morning – 0.463s up on team-mate Nico Rosberg, was best again in the afternoon, although this time only 0.021s split the two cars. Hamilton and Rosberg were, however, way ahead of the opposition and both made the most of the upgraded Mercedes power unit, leaving Sebastian Vettel a distant third for Ferrari on home turf, 0.759s off the pace.
