Lotus will see out the season

Lotus have rubbished reports that the team does not have the finances needed to make the season-ending Abu Dhabi GP. While the main headlines surrounding the team relate to the potential sale to Renault, in the background there have been financial grumblings. Not only did Bernie Ecclestone reveal that he covered the team's salaries for August but Lotus' cars were impounded at Spa over a dispute with former test driver Charles Pic. This has led to some concerns that Lotus may not even make it to the next race, the Singapore GP, unless the team is sold. CEO Matthew Carter has denied this.
