Verstappen gets drive through penalty in the race

Red Bull/Getty Images Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen will have to serve a drive through penalty within the first three laps of the Italian Grand Prix after bodywork from his car worked loose during qualifying. Verstappen, who was already set for an engine penalty, was only sent out on track for the final few moments of Q1 as Toro Rosso had been spending time changing his engine. In order to save time, Toro Rosso opted to fit only half of the bolts securing the bodywork, believing it would be sufficient. As Verstappen approached Curva Grande, the bodywork from his car detached and the debris was strewn over the circuit. Verstappen will start the race from 20th and last place on the grid.
