Italian Grand Prix: Hamilton hammers them all

Lewis Hamilton hammered his rivals in a ruthless manner as he powered his Mercedes to a commanding victory in the Italian Grand Prix, finishing ahead of Sebastian Vettel who carried Ferrari hopes while Nico Rosberg's title challenge faltered massively as he retired from third place with a handful of laps remaining. From the moment the red lights went off, Hamilton simply disappeared into the distance at Monza, Formula 1's temple of speed. Not even in the pitstop window was he headed as he claimed victory number seven of the season and extended his championship lead to 53 points.
