Merhi ends Formula Renault campaign
Manor Marussia Manor Marussia driver Roberto Merhi has opted to call time on his commitments in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series this year. Merhi battled Carlos Sainz Jr. for the title in 2014 and ultimately placed third in the championship, alongside his practice outings for Caterham. Merhi committed to the series this year with Pons Racing but also joined Manor Marussia in Formula 1, though was only initially confirmed for the "opening rounds." Merhi has competed in every race for Manor Marussia this season and consequently has missed two Formula Renault 3.5 rounds, though has struggled in the championship and sits a lowly 12th in the standings.
