Rosberg to revert back to new-spec engine

Nico Rosberg will revert back to the new-spec Mercedes engine at this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix even though it was deemed faulty during Monza practice, according to a report. Front-runners Mercedes used their seven remaining in-season development engine tokens ahead of the Italian GP and their impressive pace immediately made everyone sit up and take note during the opening practice session. However, Rosberg had some problems with his W06 during FP3 on the Saturday morning and the team decided to switch back to an older specification engine, which the German used in five previous races, and he was well off the pace in qualifying.
