Lotus: The E23 Hybrid has further pace for unlocking
Lotus F1 Team opened the Singapore Grand Prix with a promising FP1 but an underwhelming FP2. Pastor was tenth fastest in the first session, with Romain fourteenth, whilst the later session saw the drivers end the session in sixteenth (Romain) and eighteenth (Pastor). Alan Permane, Trackside Operations Director – Technical programme notes Pastor and Romain ran a variety of assessments and simulations in the first session using Pirelli’s soft (yellow) compound tyre. Romain ran with an aero-rake early in FP1 whilst assessing the team’s latest front wing. Pastor and Romain continued assessments in the afternoon, using both the soft and super soft (red) compound tyres. What we learned...
