Daniil Kvyat: “The safety cars didn’t like me at all today”

Daniil Kvyat felt he was unfortunate to be caught out by the safety car not once but twice in Singapore, as he dropped from fourth to sixth through no fault of his own. The Infiniti Red Bull Racing driver was running a comfortable fourth before the first safety car, on the tail of Scuderia Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, but pitted just before the Virtual Safety Car was deployed that allowed both Mercedes drivers to pit and gain time on the Russian to drop him to sixth.
