Rossi: First F1 race a challenge
Alexander Rossi says his maiden F1 race 'wasn't the most straight-forward' after a poor start and losing radio communication with the Manor team. He became the first American since Scott Speed in 2007 to compete in F1 and finished ahead of his team-mate Will Stevens in 14th place. 'My Formula 1 debut has been a long time coming, but it has been pretty special,' he said afterwards. 'All the hard work to get here finally paid off and it was a fantastic feeling to be racing on the streets of Singapore in my first ever Grand Prix. 'It wasn’t the most straightforward of races; I didn’t get the best of starts, and as the procedure is quite new to me, it’s something I’ll need to work on....
