'We’ve got a lunatic on the track!'

The most infamous case of track invaders in recent years probably remains Irish priest Neil Horan at the 2003 British Grand Prix. On Lap 11, Horan simply barged onto Hangar Straight and started running headlong at F1 cars approaching at 160mph. “We’ve got a lunatic on the track!” shouted TV commentator James Allen, before Horan was finally tackled by a Silverstone marshall.
