Lewis Hamilton's retirement explained by Toto Wolff

Singapore Grand Prix – Mercedes' Toto Wolff has explained the reason for Lewis Hamilton's retirement from the Singapore race on Sunday. The championship leader was running in P4 on Lap 26 during Sunday's race when he suddenly slowed and was passed by teammate Nico Rosberg & Williams' Valtteri Bottas. Radioing in to report a loss of power, he and his engineer tried resetting various options on the car, all to no avail. After falling to the back of the field, Hamilton requested permission to retire the car as he feared damage to his engine.
