Renault's Remi Taffin expecting Mercedes backlash at Suzuka
Japanese Grand Prix – Renault Director of Operations is expecting the Mercedes powered teams to bite back with a vengeance at the Suzuka race this weekend. The Singapore race last weekend saw the Renault powered Red Bull Racing team fight for the win with Ferrari, ahead of usual frontrunners Mercedes AMG. In the midfield, Toro Rosso were also able to convincingly vie with Merc powered cars such as Williams, Lotus & Force India. The reason for this was that the Marina Bay Street Circuit was less about overall horsepower and rewarded other areas such as mechanical grip and traction.
