Palmer back in Lotus for Suzuka FP1
Jolyon Palmer will get another run in the Lotus during first free practice for the Japanese Grand Prix, the team has confirmed. The defending GP2 Series champion has made several FP1 appearances in the Lotus E23 this season, each time replacing Romain Grosjean and driving alongside Pastor Maldonado. However, having sat out FP1 in Singapore for the first time since Canada, Palmer will be back in the car again in Japan "Having been on the sidelines in Singapore, it will be great to be back in the car in Japan. It is a new track for me so it will be a tough challenge but a perfect learning opportunity."
