Formula 1 pre-season to start in February
– Formula 1 pre-season testing is set to begin in late February next year, before another gathering in early March, GPUpdate.net understands, as a response to the calendar changes recently issued by the FIA.Barcelona was initially due to host a pair of four-day tests in March, ahead of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix on April 3, but the race has now been brought forward to March 20.Following confirmation of the roster adjustments, it has now been agreed amongst teams that the opening test session will take place from February 22-25, with the second following from March 1-4.Plans for in-season testing are yet to be finalised, with discussions ongoing.
