Rosberg fastest, session overshadowed by Sainz crash – FP3 Report

Nico Rosberg topped the third and final free practice session, which was red-flagged owing to a worrying crash for Toro Rosso's Carlos Sainz. With the entirety of Friday's running being washed out, high importance was placed on the third and final free practice session before qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix. The vast majority of the drivers were running in the opening minutes of the session, with almost all of them parking at the end of the pit lane to attempt practice starts. Williams driver Valtteri Bottas was one of the first drivers to set a time at something close to flat out, posting a 1:40.617 to initially go two seconds clear of anybody else as the remaining drivers focused...
