Sainz Jr. leaves hospital, eager to race
– Carlos Sainz Jr. has been released from hospital earlier than planned, following his high-speed accident during final practice for the Russian Grand Prix, and remains hopeful of taking part in Sunday's race.Sainz Jr. lost control of his car under braking for Turn 13 midway through FP3 at Sochi Autodrom, clipping the concrete wall to the left and sliding straight into the TecPro barriers, which buried his car.After an initial examination in the medical centre, Sainz Jr.'s was described as "conscious and talking" by governing body the FIA, before being airlifted to a nearby hospital for further checks.Toro Rosso initially stated that Sainz Jr. would remain in hospital as a...
