Perez amazed by return to podium
Sahara Force India Sergio Perez hailed his Force India team after he returned to the podium positions for the first time since last year's Bahrain Grand Prix. Perez stopped during the second Safety Car period for fresh tyres and when his rivals pitted he occupied third position, albeit having to preserve his ailing rubber. Perez was passed on the penultimate lap by both Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen but when the latter pair collided on the last lap, Perez was promoted back up into third position.
