Alexander Rossi strengthens runner-up spot in GP2
Russian Grand Prix – Manor F1 driver Alexander Rossi returned to GP2 action over the Sochi weekend, taking victory in the Feature race and P6 in the Sprint race. Having made his F1 debut with Manor at the Singapore Grand Prix and also racing at the Japanese Grand Prix, Rossi was given permission by the team to return to GP2 for the Russian & Abu Dhabi rounds as he still had a shot at winning the title. Manor replaced Rossi with Roberto Merhi, who Rossi himself had replaced after the Italian Grand Prix. Returning to his Racing Engineering team for Sochi, Rossi lined up in P3 for the Feature race and passed ART's Stoffel Vandoorne on the first lap. Up to P2 behind DAMS' Alex Lynn, the...
