US GP qualy remains in doubt

Qualifying for the United States GP is in doubt after the Circuit of the Americas was hit by heavy rain on Saturday - although Practice Three did go ahead. Organisers at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas reacted to the overnight deluge, which continued into Saturday morning, by delaying opening the circuit 'for the safety of our fans and employees'. With the track still closed to fans, and heavy rain continued to fall, Practice Three did go ahead as scheduled and more cars than expected took to the track. The regulations state that if qualifying does not take place, the finishing order in P3 could be used to determine the grid on race day. However, the conditions are expected to worsen...
