Mercedes had not managed US GP perfectly – Wolf Lewis Hamilton’s race win in the United States Grand Prix was enough to secure him back-to-back drivers’ titles. Becoming the first British driver to do so. Hamilton lost the initial lead following 16 laps during a strong battle with Daniel Ricciardo, and finally Rosberg managed to pass his team-mate as the top positions shuffled several times during the mid stage of the race.
