Both Williams drivers struggle with lack of grip

Mexican Grand Prix – Both Williams drivers found the practice day in Mexico difficult, due to the extreme lack of grip on the new track surface. Between the new asphalt, low track temperatures and slightly slick tarmac due to rain, drivers found it extremely difficult adjusting to the grip levels of the refurbished Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Valtteri Bottas was one of the victims of the lack of grip. He lost control of his FW37 under braking for Turn 1 during the FP2 session, hitting the outside wall and damaging his car.
