Nico Rosberg claims pole in Mexican showdown – Qualifying Report

Mexican Grand Prix – Nico Rosberg has taken pole position for Mercedes AMG at the Mexican GP. The Merc driver went almost 0.2 seconds clear on his first run in Q3, with Lewis Hamilton making an error on his final run and unable to respond. Sebastian Vettel claimed P3 for Scuderia Ferrari. Q1: The first session started under gloomy and grey skies, a clear threat of rain lingering in the air. As a result, the drivers peeled out onto the track quickly to get started. Early times were set by Marcus Ericsson, Felipe Nasr and Max Verstappen, with Valtteri Bottas quickly going fastest.
