Ricciardo: Red Bull had podium shot

Red Bull/Getty Images Daniel Ricciardo reckons Red Bull had a shot at finishing on the podium at the Mexican Grand Prix, before ultimately missing out to Williams' Valtteri Bottas. Daniil Kvyat occupied third for much of the race but the field was bunched up behind the Safety Car during the closing stages and the Russian was unable to prevent Bottas from cruising past. Ricciardo trailed Kvyat home to take fifth position and believes Red Bull made a strategic tyre error and missed out on a top three result. "I think both of us had a sniff at the podium, Daniil was looking pretty good, I had more pace in me on the Prime tyre but we were in a no-mans land with the Williams," he...
