Piquet content with ‘lucky' points

Reigning Formula E champion Nelson Piquet was content to achieve his first points finish of the year after benefitting from a chaotic Putrajaya ePrix. Having qualified towards the rear of the grid, Piquet attempted an adverse strategy to try and progress through the order. The Brazilian saved energy in the first half of the race to be the last man to make a pit stop, finally swapping cars on lap 20. The major gains were actually made in through having an undramatic race. He guided his NextEV car to the finish to take eighth place after several incidents and retirements.
