Pastor Maldonado picks up penalty point for Ericsson incident

Brazilian Grand Prix – Lotus' Pastor Maldonado has been given a penalty point and time penalty for his mid-race incident with Sauber's Marcus Ericsson. Halfway through the race, Maldonado attempted to pass the Sauber into Turn 1. His right front wheel tagged the left rear of Ericsson's C34 and spin the Swedish driver around. While both were able to continue, Race Control announced that they were going to investigate the incident. Maldonado was given a five second time penalty, and also slapped with a penalty point.
