Toto Wolff has defended Mercedes' Brazilian Grand Prix strategy decision, saying a change would have put second place at risk. Lewis Hamilton requested a change to an alternative strategy during the race, feeling he was faster than leader Nico Rosberg and was stuck behind him. Wolff admitted that Mercedes felt switching strategy to a three-stop would have put Hamilton at risk to Vettel, but in the end the Ferrari stopped for a third time anyway and the constructors' champions did the same.
