Red Bull only ran ‘partial' Renault engine upgrade in Brazil

Red Bull Racing took the call at Brazil to put in the upgraded Renault engine on Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull for the Brazilian Grand Prix, which as expected resulted in a 10-place grid penalty, however stories now show the upgrade was only ‘partial' and not the full upgrade. Ricciardo was nowhere near pleased with the upgraded Renault engine, as the Australian looked to have regretted Red Bull's decision come race day when he lined up at the back of the grid. Reports show only seven token were actually used, improving only the internal combustion engine and not the whole power unit.
