Red Bull secures engine deal

Christian Horner has confirmed that his team has secured an engine deal for 2016. After months of speculation, ahead of this morning's opening session in Abu Dhabi, Horner confirmed to reporters that a deal has been agreed, though he was unable (unwilling) to give further details. 'We have an agreement for an engine for next year which we hope will be confirmed within the coming days,' said Horner. 'It will have a development path, ironically of what we were trying to achieve 12 months ago,' he added, suggesting that the engine will indeed be the Renault unit with improvements suggested by Mario Illien earlier this year. More to follow.
