Mercedes suing F1 engineer for data theft

Mercedes AMG are suing one of their F1 engineers for data theft, as he leaves the team for Scuderia Ferrari. According to Bloomberg, Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains are suing an engineer who is leaving the team for Ferrari in December. In a filing placed on October 19th, the engineer searched for and saved files pertaining to race strategy and performance from the Hungarian Grand Prix. Other data taken included mileage and damage reports as well as files containing code for decrypting raw race data files.   According to the filing, the engineers actions were 'calculated to destroy or seriously damage the relationship of trust' with the company and that the engineer 'and...
