Haas expects Austin to survive

Gene Haas believes the United States Grand Prix will remain at Circuit of the Americas in 2016. The race at the Austin venue is in doubt following the decision from the State of Texas to reduce its funding for the event from $25million to $19.5m after a review of its impact on the local area. Haas will have his own team entering F1 for the first time this year and he believes the race at COTA has still been too successful to be dropped. "There are always these concerns but it's a beautiful track, they have invested a lot of money so I don't think they are going to scrap it," Haas is quoted as saying by Autosport.
