Palmer confirms 2016 F1 race number

Renault driver Jolyon Palmer has confirmed the race number that he will use during his Formula 1 career. The Briton, who will be making his debut for the resurrected French car manufacturer's works outfit, is to use the number 30. He confirmed the news in a post on Twitter with a picture of him in action in a Lotus car from last season. Palmer used the number 30 during testing outings and the free practice runs he had for Lotus throughout 2015. Since the start of 2014, F1 drivers have had to pick a permanent number that they will use throughout their entire career.
