Renault pays tribute to axed Maldonado

– Renault has paid tribute to Pastor Maldonado, thanking him for "two years of loyal service", after the Venezuelan lost his seat with the team ahead of the 2016 season.Maldonado joined Lotus from Williams for 2014 and was confirmed alongside fellow GP2 champion Jolyon Palmer before Renault completed its protracted takeover of the team.Maldonado's backer, Venezuela's state-owned oil company PDVSA, fell out with Renault over sponsorship payments, and the brand signed Kevin Magnussen as his replacement.Renault has since publically thanked Maldonado for his services."After two years of loyal service, we would like to say a heartfelt goodbye and thank you to Pastor...
