Matsushita signed to McLaren in development role

McLaren-Honda have announced Nobuharu Matsushita has signed as a test and development driver with them. Matsushita, who was teammates with GP2 Champion Stoffel Vandoorne at ART Grand Prix in 2015, joins McLaren as a test and development driver. He will 'focus on simulator support and engineering work' to help race drivers Jenson Button & Fernando Alonso. Stoffel Vandoorne remains official reserve driver for 2016. Matsushita's appointment is an indication of the strengthening ties between McLaren & Honda as they enter their second year of collaboration.
