Wolff says qualifying changes are 'rubbish'

Mercedes AMG Petronas Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says the changes to the qualifying format are 'rubbish', after the system was sampled for the first time during the Australian Grand Prix. Drivers are now eliminated during Q1, Q2 and Q3, but several remained in the pit lane during the closing stages, while Lewis Hamilton took his pole position with a few minutes remaining. "I'm the first person to say that we shouldn't talk the sport down but when the evidence is there before your eyes, you cannot shut them and deny reality," he said.
