Bottas drops five spots for gearbox change

Valtteri Bottas' difficult Australian Grand Prix weekend has been compounded by a five-place grid penalty for a gearbox change on his Williams overnight. The Finn was already on the back foot coming into the 2016 Formula 1 World Championship opener after a disappointing qualifying session left him down in 11th place, well behind his sixth place team-mate Felipe Massa. However, a problem was diagnosed with his FW38's gearbox overnight, necessitating a change that has landed him a drop of five places on the grid, leaving him 16th.
