Sky Sports gets exclusive UK rights from 2019

– Sky Sports has announced that it has obtained the exclusive rights to broadcast Formula 1 in the United Kingdom from the start of the 2019 season.Sky Sports currently broadcasts all races live on its dedicated channel, but as part of the six-year deal signed in 2012, half of the races are shown live on a terrestrial channel, with the remaining events available as highlights.The new deal will run from 2019 to 2024, with the British Grand Prix available live on a free-to-air channel."I am delighted that we will continue to work together," said Formula 1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone."Sky's commitment to the Sport and standard of coverage is second to none."Formula 1 will...
