Bernie Ecclestone has commented on the qualifying backtrack….. Bernie Ecclestone has elected to speak over what he seems to regard as somewhat of a misunderstanding, claiming fans and teams alike were mistaken in his intentions, Bernie digressed the new qualifying was done in an effort to ‘muddle the grid up’. A fair statement with good intentions, however, the qualifying for  Melbourne wasn't properly prepared with the scoring only being created at the last moment and drivers and teams still unaware how it really worked.
