Renault signs Chinese karting driver Sun Yue Yang

Karting driver Sun Yue Yang has become the latest addition to the Renault Sport Academy, the manufacturer has announced. Sun, 15, joins Oliver Rowland, Jack Aitken, Kevin Jorg and Louis Deletraz in the roster, becoming the first driver to be signed into the new Academy straight out of karting. The Chinese driver had a career-best 2015 in international karting, with success in the KFJ class of various major championships. Among his accolades that year were fourth place in the South Garda Winter Cup, fifth in the WSK Champions Cup, 13th in the CIK-FIA European Championship and 14th in the World Championship.
