Hulkenberg given penalty points for pit entry misdemeanour

Chinese Grand Prix – Force India's Nico Hulkenberg has been given two penalty points on his licence for driving unnecessarily slowly into the pits during the race.  Hulkenberg, entering the pits under the Safety Car in the early stages of the race, drove slowly into the pits as he waited for his pit box to open up as it was occupied by Sergio Perez at the time. However, such an approach is not permitted by the rules and he was given a five second time penalty as well as two points on his F1 licence. “It was a frustrating race in the end, even though the start and the first few laps were great.' said Hulkenberg after coming home outside the points in P15.
