Bite-size tech: Red Bull RB12 aero rigs

Red Bull continued to investigate the impact of the serrated front wing first seen during free practice in China. Placed behind the front wing on Daniil Kvyat's car during FP1 were two Kiel probe arrays, which measure the pressure of the airflow displaced by the aerodynamic structures that surround it.   Red Bull RB12 front wing, captioned, Chinese Grand-Prix Photo by: Giorgio Piola Red Bull believes that there is a definite and direct increase in front end downforce from the use of the serrations. However, this comes at a cost to performance further downstream and so they're investigating how it can change that relationship.
