Ecclestone hints at 2017 London F1 race

Formula 1 could race on the streets of London, according to Bernie Ecclestone, and is hoping the inaugural city race takes place as early as 2017. According to ITV's report, the race will circulate around Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace, and Ecclestone believes it could boost the audience, where a large proportion of F1's audience is based in England's capital city, London. Last year, Formula E made London's first street racing debut around Battersea Park. However, the determining factor for London's first even Formula 1 street race will be agreements made with the city, to block 'key' and 'busy' roads for the Formula 1 race, and a spokesman from London's Department for Transport said...
