Ultrasoft tyre high in demand for Monaco debut

Monaco Grand Prix – Pirelli’s new tyre compound for 2016, the purple-marked ultrasoft, has proven to be high in demand amongst the teams ahead of its debut in Monaco in two weeks’ time. Both Mercedes and Red Bull have elected to take ten sets of the new compound per car, with two sets of the red-marked supersoft and a solitary set of the yellow-marked soft. Ferrari have one less set of ultrasofts and one more set of the softs than their rivals. Williams have taken a more conservative approach with just seven sets of the ultrasofts, four sets of the supersofts and two sets of softs. Force India and Toro Rosso have also elected for seven sets of ultrasofts, but have gone for three sets...
